The wonderful Atollo table lamp was designed in 1977 by Vico Magistretti for the Italian design company Oluce. Highly desired for its strong geometric shapes, it is considered a true classic of Italian design. Defined by a pencil shaped column and an upturned hemisphere shade that appears as floating, the profile is both elegant and simple. This beautiful late production piece is manufactured from spun aluminium and finished in a very special matt bronze metallic. The Atollo lamp won the Compasso d'Oro in 1979 and is exhibited in major design museums throughout the world - it is a remarkable and recognised piece of Italian design mastery.
