A very beautiful hand carved antique wooden bowl from Zambia Africa. Wonderfully organic material form with gorgeous rich patina and ageing, developed over decades of daily use for food preparation and storage. The deep black brown colour tone is elevated by its divine glossy surface, engagingly tactile and smooth to the touch. A highly collectable piece of utilitarian craft, these bowls are increasingly hard to curate. A wonderful natural object that makes a unique and engaging visual statement.
